Telmaco is a private company created by Bernard Londeix with a view to bringing software metrics and estimation to the software industry. Bernard is a specialist in software metrics having worked in the field for over 25 years. His career began with CII/BULL (1968) in Paris, where he worked in Research and Development. In 1979, he moved to London to work for STC plc as an internal consultant in software methodology, productivity, and quality. There he instigated metrics and estimation models which became the basis for estimation services throughout the organisation.
Aiming to extend services offered to the software industry, in 1989 he launched
Telmaco with a mission statement of “assisting business organisations
to maximise the quality, proficiency and productivity of their software
capability”.
Since starting Telmaco, he has worked for many global blue chip companies
in banking, insurance, telecommunications and finance, such as the Royal
Bank of Scotland and JP Morgan, helping to develop systems of software
metrics and providing instruction on the use of software metrics within
an organisation.
More recently, Bernard has created the software tool-chain, MeterIT-Project,
MeterIT-Cosmic, PredictIT, and MeterIT-Converter providing businesses with the means to
dictate their own software metrics requirements, and thus offering them
a flexible and coherent guide to Software Project Estimation.
